Nominees for the Golden Globe Awards 2014 ceremony were announced on Thursday morning by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The Golden Globes honor the year's best in film and television, split into the genres of comedy (or musical) and drama.
This year's Golden Globe nominations were led by "12 Years A Slave" and "American Hustle," which scored seven nominations each, including Best Picture honors in, respectively, the drama and musical or comedy categories. On the television side, "Breaking Bad," "Downton Abbey" and "Brooklyn 99" were among the top-nominated programs. Woody Allen, meanwhile, will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award for "outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment" during the 2014 ceremony.
Last year, "Argo" and "Les Miserables" were named top films by the Golden Globes, while "Homeland" and "Girls" drew television honors.
The full list of Golden Globe award nominees is available below. The 71st annual Golden Globe Awards will be held on Jan. 12, 2014. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will act as hosts for the evening, just as they did at the 2013 Golden Globes ceremony.
