As part of this year’s World PR Day Festival, Global Media Alliance, in collaboration with Africa’s biggest music streaming platform, Boomplay, has outdoored two uniquely curated music playlists to recognise artistes who have creatively leveraged the power of public relations in their craft.
The playlists – “World PR Day Festival Jams Playlist” and “World PR Day Festival New Gen”, seek to acknowledge the contributions of both established and emerging musicians while highlighting the role of public relations in promoting Ghanaian music.
The Jams Playlist features a repertoire of hits songs from renowned artists creating a vibrant mix of rhythms and melodies that highlight the diversity and creativity of Ghana's music industry. Artistes in this category include King Promise, Stonebwoy, Amaarae, Black Sherrif, Gyakie, Joe Mettle, Kidi, Smallgod, and Wendy Shay.
The New Gen playlist which shines a spotlight on the freshest talents redefining the music landscape features an exciting line-up of music talents whose unique perspectives are setting trends in the industry.
Artistes in this category include Arathejay, Baaba J, Beeztrap KOTM, Darkua and Ess Thee Legend. The rest are Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta, Olivetheboy, SuperJazzClub, Team Eternity and 99Phaces.
Commenting on this partnership, Ekow Quandzie, Head of Public Relations at Global Media Alliance highlighted the relevance of music in shaping narratives and inspiring a new generation of communicators.

In accordance with this year's theme for the World PR Day celebration, 'The Future of PR in a Changing World,' our curated playlists reflect the evolving landscape of both music and public relations,” said Ekow Quandzie.

The World PR Day Festival ‘24 and New Gen playlists are available exclusively on the Boomplay App to music lovers around the globe with easy access to the latest tunes that define the synergy between public relations and music.
The World PR Day Festival is an annual event that seeks to bring together Practitioners, Industry Players, Media, and Students to dialogue and share insights and innovative strategies to improve the industry both in Ghana and globally.
The 2024 festival which began in May took participants through several virtual sessions on Greenwashing x PR and PR Measurements x ROI. Masterlabs were also organised to equip PR professionals in Sustainability and Artificial Intelligence.
It climaxed with a summit which inspired insightful conversations on shaping the African narrative with public relations and storytelling.
