A 13-year-old girl who is six months pregnant has been sacked from home and is now living with a distant relative at Nsukwao, a suburb of Koforidua.
Sources at the house in which the girl was staying indicated that both parents of the girl are dead. They died when she was only 18 months old.
A boy whose name was given only as Yaw is alleged to have impregnated her after two separate sex sessions in an uncompleted building at Nsukwao.
According to The Spectator, the girl claimed she was sent by her auntie called Awura Ama to collect money at a nearby house when the boy lured her into the uncompleted building and forcibly had sex with her.
She said the boy did the same thing the following week and told her never to tell anybody else she would die, until her grand mother realised last week that she was pregnant.
According to her, a woman in the house whose name she could not mention took her to the boy's parent to inquire the truth in the case but Yaw denied knowledge of the girl's claim and threatened to beat the girl to death.
The boy's father is also alleged to have handcuffed the 13-year-old pregnant girl for mentioning his son's name as being responsible for the pregnancy until a kind hearted woman in the area approached them to settle the case.
When the grandmother of the girl, Madam Vida Korantemaa, 73, was also contacted, she said Gifty was staying with her until she found out that she was pregnant.
Madam Korantemaa said she asked her grand-daughter about it but she denied and insulted her so she sacked her (Gifty) from the house to look for the person who impregnated her.
