Ghana International, Gideon Mensah grabbed his second league assist on Sunday as Bordeaux beat Metz in the French top-flight.
Mensah started the game off the bench in Sunday’s victory and moved to 19th position on the league table.
The 23-year-old replaced Stian Gregersen in the 64th minute of the encounter with the latter picking up an injury.
Five minutes following his introduction, the Ghanaian set up M’Baye Niag to extend the home side’s lead after Ricardo Mangas levelled the score minutes into the second half.
During his 27 minutes on the field, Mensah completed all nine of his attempted passes, earning a 100% pass accuracy while he also won three of his four ground duels, making two successful dribbles as well.
Ui-Jo Hwang scored the third goal for Bordeaux to wrap up a good game for David Guion’s men against their rivals.
The win sees Bordeaux move to 19th position, three points above Metz, who are rocked bottom of the league table.
