The Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II has urged Ghanaians to continue adhering to the Covid-19 protocols.
This comes after the start of Covid-19 vaccinations across 43 districts in three regions of the country.
The regions are Greater Accra-25 districts, Ashanti-16 districts and Central-2 districts.
This marks the beginning of a nationwide exercise expected to vaccinate 20 million Ghanaians against the virus.
Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II who had his Covid-19 jab today, Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at the Greater Accra Regional hospital urged Ghanaians to keep adhering to the Covid-19 protocols even though the vaccines are being administered.
"We cannot lose any more lives and we cannot be reckless, but don't forgo or relax the Covid-19 protocols because we have to put the mask on to stay safe. We have to wash our hands to keep them clean and we must use the sanitizers always. Until this pandemic is over, we still have it lurking around," the Ga Mantse said.
Meanwhile, the vaccination is expected to run from March to October, 2021.
