Ghanaian players across Europe put up impressive performances for their clubs over the weekend as the Black Stars’ games against Chad and Madagascar edge closer.

Here’s a wrap of some of the best performers:

Kamaldeen Sulemana scored his first Premier League goal in 21 months for Southampton to mark his 23rd birthday on Saturday in their 3-1 loss to Bournemouth. The last time Sulemana scored in the league was in May 2023 on the final day of the 2022/23 season.

Kamaldeen's compatriot Antoine Semenyo provided his fourth league assist of the season, helping his side secure a win.

Defender Tariq Lamptey made his 100th Premier League appearance as Brighton beat his former side, Chelsea, 3-0. The game also saw him start his fourth consecutive match for the Seagulls.

Thomas Partey and Jordan Ayew featured for their respective sides in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Leicester on Saturday.

In Ligue 1, Ernest Nuamah scored and provided an assist for Lyon in their 4-1 win over Montpellier on Sunday. The 21-year-old winger has contributed to three goals in his last four league games.

Youngster Christopher Baah scored his third league goal for Genk in their 2-1 win over Standard Liège in the Belgian top flight.

Baba Rahman provided two assists for PAOK in their 7-0 thrashing of Lamia in the Greek league. The 30-year-old has five goals and two assists in 20 league games.

Kamal Sowah made his NAC Breda debut following his January transfer in a goalless draw against Feyenoord in the Dutch league.

Forward Patrick Twumasi scored his seventh league goal in Israel for Beitar Jerusalem in their 3-2 defeat to Hapoel Haifa.

Former Ghana youth international Zubairu Ibrahim scored his seventh league goal in 20 games for FC Partizan in their 4-1 win over OFK Beograd in the Serbian top flight.
