Among the many things the sporting fraternity in Ghana will be following includes the hugely popular Super Bowl in Dallas when Green Bay Packers take on Pittsburgh Steelers.
There is Ghanaian involvement as safety Charlie Peprah and safety in American Football is equivalent to defender in Soccer and he will start for the Green Bay Packers.
Charlie is grandson of ex- Ghana military leader, General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong and he is making his super bowl debut just five years after turning professional. Joseph Peprah is the father of the 27-year-old Charlie and he has told Joy Sports his son is overwhelmed by the supports he has received from Ghanaians.
“He is very excited for the opportunity to play Super Bowl at this level and he is very excited about his team doing very well this season,” Mr Peprah told Joy Sports.
Joseph Peprah works at the National Communications Authority and left Accra for the USA last night to watch his son.
He is optimistic that Charlie’s team will win the game.
