Team Ghana recorded its highest haul of medals at the African Athletics Championship since 2006 after winning six medals at the just ended 19th African Athletics Championship in Marrakech, Morocco.

Triple Jump: Nadia Eke Triple Jump 13.40m (PB) Silver Medal ^Qualified for IAAF 2014 IAAF Continental Cup
Javelin Throw: Mary Zuta Nartey- 52.57m (PB) ^Qualified for IAAF 2014 IAAF Continental Cup
Heptathlon: Elizabeth Dadzie Silver Medal 5286pts (PB) ^Qualified for IAAF 2014 IAAF Continental Cup
4x100m relay: Tim Abeyie, Solomon Afful, Emmanuel Dasor and Daniel Gyasi-4x100m 39.28(fastest 4X100m time by a Ghanaian team at an African Athletics Championship since 1979)
4x100m relay: Flings Owusu-Agyapong, Gemma Acheampong, Beatrice Gyaman, Janet Amponsah (the 3rd fastest 4x100m time (44.06secs) by a Ghanaian relay team at an African Championship in the past 14 years)
Decathlon: Atsu Nyamadi -Bronze Medal 6946pts (Ghana’s first bronze medalist in the Decathlon)
Long Jump: Robert Martey (4th) 7.80m) Qualified for IAAF 2014 IAAF Continental Cup
