Ghana on Monday won her first gold medal in the ongoing All Africa Games courtesy Ajara Mohammed.
Ajara Mohammed, a member of the disabled team won the 1500m race. Her compatriot Anita Fordjour also won bronze after finishing third.
Speaking with Gideon Okyere Anim, Asempa Fm’s correspondent at the games, Ajara Mohammed said she was very happy for winning Ghana’s first gold medal at the games and hopes her feat spurs her compatriots on to win more medals for Ghana.
Ghana has another opportunity of adding to her gold haul as Vida Anim runs in the 100m final later today.
