Coach of Ghana's Under twenty three (U-23) team, Malik Jabir has emphasised he will begin the 2015 All-Africa and 2016 Olympic Games qualifying preparation on Monday October, 20.
The Black Meteors will engage their Liberia counterparts in the preliminary round of the Congo-Brazzaville All-Africa Games football qualifiers on dates yet to be confirmed by the Confederation of African Football(CAF).
According to the CAF calender, Ghana is likely to play Congo in the second qualifying round if they oust Liberia. Should they survive that test, they will face Nigeria in the final qualifying round which looks like a difficult qualification route for Malik Jabir and his charges.
“We are starting the preparation for the qualifiers on Monday and I think we have no time to waste and will be monitoring our group opponents," Malik said.
The Meteors were due to travel to Egypt and play an International friendly with Egypt's U-23 team, but the said match hit a snag due to lack of preparation on the part of the Meteors.
