Ghana is to host the 2008 conference of the Federation of African Public Relations Associations (FAPRA), a statement from the Institute of Public Relations (IPR), Ghana, said in Accra on Tuesday.
The statement signed by Mr Caesar Akpakli, Acting Executive Secretary of IPR, said the week-long conference begins on April 28 in Kumasi.
It would be on the theme "Corporate Social Investment: Global Trends and Implications for Public Relations."
Public Relations associations from 34 countries as well as representatives of the International Public Relations Associations and Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communications from the United Kingdom are expected to attend.
The statement said Ghana was selected because of the rapid growth of the public relations profession in the country and political and economic stability.
The current President of FAPRA is Mr Joseph Emmanuel Allotey-Pappoe.
