The Ghana National Association of Certificated Counsellors (GNACC), at their 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) has elected Dr Cecilia Tutu-Danquah, the Founder and Leader of the TUCEE Group of Companies and a Lecturer at the University of Ghana as its National President.
This happened on the 9th December, 2023 at the Conference Hall of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Accra.
The Ghana National Association of Certificated Counsellors (GNACC) was established in the year 2017, to serve as a voice for Counsellors in Ghana, and to also promote the provision of quality and professional counselling services to anyone, anytime and anywhere.
Since its establishment, the Association has contributed significantly to the professional development of Counsellors across Ghana, with key strides made in organizing strategic workshops, conference and training programmes for its members, as well as providing timely counselling support to individuals, groups and communities.
With a mission of making counselling services commendable, accessible and satisfying, GNACC seeks to become the recognized Association for the promotion of professionalism and personal growth among professional counsellors and associates.
More about Dr Cecilia Tutu-Danquah
She holds a Doctorate in Guidance and Counselling in the area of Cyber Counselling from the University of Education, Winneba.
She also holds a Master of Education degree in Information Technology from the University of Cape Coast, a Master of Arts in Adult Education from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Master of Philosophy in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Education, Winneba.
She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Education as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.
Cecilia is a Licensed and compassionate Counselling Psychologist and Cyber Counselling Expert who advocates for ubiquitous counselling.
She is a professional teacher in the area of pedagogy and andragogy, a fanatical writer and a distinguished social entrepreneur. Cecilia is an Educational Technologist who promotes the integration of emerging technologies in education to meet the needs of all learners and the educational goal in General.
She has implemented numerous projects in the quest to counsel, educate and empower individuals. Having taught for 7 years at the basic level, and 17 years at Accra College of Education, she is currently a Lecturer at the University of Ghana. Cecilia is God-fearing, studious, an epitome of love, a wife, a mother to many, and still a baby to her mother.
As the 1st ever National President of GNACC, Cecilia’s re-election on the rate of 100% endorsement via votes, confirms her infringing support and love for the Association.
In her inaugural speech, Cecilia expressed readiness to continue to serve the Association with passion, compassion, and love.
For the next 3 years, Cecilia promises to solidify the Association’s mission of making counselling services accessible, commendable and satisfying via the transformation of hearts and minds.
