Ghanaian actress and model, Nikki Samonas says that the movie industry is doing better than it was before.
She explained that the industry did take a hit during and after the COVID-19 period since it was difficult for them to shoot.
That notwithstanding, the actress clarified that the movie industry has now received support from investors who help in marketing the movies.
"Now, with a lot of corporate investment and investors, especially Akwaaba Magic and a lot of investors coming on board because now we are using the digitisation of marketing movies so I think it has picked up tremendously," Nikki said on Sunday, September 3.
The movie maker said this during the private listening session of the Nigerian singer, Patoranking's upcoming album 'World Best'.
When asked why movies are not talked about in the media as compared to music, she said that "music is noisy and everywhere, it flows like water while movie is fire and earth, which is not as loud as compared to music."
The actress shared with JoyNews’ Becky that she has three projects with Akwaaba Magic DSTV which are ongoing and should be anticipated.
Nikki also revealed that she had just premiered a movie in which she acted alongside fellow actresses Nana Ama McBrown and Gloria Sarfo titled Coming to Africa 2.
