Joy FM’s Ghana Month celebration reached a crescendo when the team embarked on a tour to the Volta Region with its listeners.
The three-day tour dubbed ‘Volta Adventure’, started on Friday March 21, 2025 to Sunday March 23, 2025.
They toured the Kpando Lakeview Zipline, Mount Gemi, Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, Amedzofe Waterfalls and Canopy Walkway.
At the Volta Serene Hotel where the team and the tourists were accommodated, there were various activities that got them more engaged and entertained. The patrons showcased their dance skills, as a borborbor ensemble treated them to some breathtaking music from the Eweland. There were also a night club session and a movie night.
Before heading back to Accra, they got into Dodi World at Akosombo and had their final dose of fun on the Dodi Princess II. On the boat, they were regaled with soothing live band music, food, and drinks.
The 'Volta Adventure' was not just a tour; it was also an opportunity for the tourists to network, bond with family, friends and other listeners of the Super Station.
According to Programmes Manager of Joy FM, Edem Knight-Tay, the trip was a move to help promote domestic tourism, arts and culture. Every year during the Ghana Month period, similar programmes are initiated by Joy FM to advance this cause.
The 'Volta Adventure' was sponsored by Woodin, Serene Insurance, Volta Serene Hotel and Ekumfi Fruits and Juices.
