Seven West African countries including Ghana will battle in the Sevens Rugby World Cup qualifier which comes off at the Paa Joe Stadium in Kumasi on November 27 and 28.
The tournament serves as route for countries to book their places in the final qualifying round in April next year.
Ghana faces Mali, Benin and Niger in Pool A while Côte d'Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso and Togo slug it out in Pool B
In the women's category, Ghana clashes with Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Benin and Togo.
President of Ghana Rugby Herbert Mensah is happy Kumasi, the capital of Ashanti Region, is hosting the two-day event. "With the support of our government, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, our sponsors and Rugby Africa, whom I sincerely thank, the Ghanaian Rugby Union will organize a world-class event which will allow the teams to express themselves on the pitch in the best possible conditions", he told rugbyafrique.com
