One of Ghana’s representatives in next week's Africa Hockey Club Championship Trustees of SSNIT have plunged into serious preparations ahead of the Championship.
Ghana’s successful hosting of the Africa Hockey Cup of Nations last year, won the country the bid to host this major championship after original hosts Zambia and Uganda pulled out due to lack of funds.
This will be Ghana’s second time hosting the continental club.
Club sides such as Shakier the defending Champions and Police of Egypt will be major contenders for medals, but head coach of Trustees Edmund Aryetey told Joy Sports he and his charges will take advantage as host nation despite stiff opposition from the North Africans.
He said with determination, Ghana could triumph over their opponents.
