When Sulley Ali Muntari was asked to leave the Ghana team hotel by coach Milovan Rajevac on Saturday night following an alleged outburt, some of us reacted with extreme caution knowing full well the potential calamity of such a story breaking out before cool heads took took charge. The team went for their routine recovery session on Sunday and for a while, the decision not to go public with the incident seemed wise. But now all hell may break loose if immediate steps are not taken to restore sanity in camp and restore coach Rajevac 's authority. The fact that the player made his protestations in a local Ghanaian dialect ''twi'' means that it may have been translated to the coach. But that is not the issue here. The player, just like Anelka of France is quiet by nature but is also known to be outspoken and a firebrand. Did he speak alone? Was he expressing sentiments of the team and why did he not go through captain Stephen Appiah? If he stays, will coach Milo's authority not be undermined? If he leaves will it aid Ghana? Attempts to get Muntari's side of the incident continue but focus must shift to Germany. Muntari is not the only crazy story making the rounds but when Kaka gets a controversial red card and that does not make headlines, then you know something is wrong.
