Ghana failed to qualify for the African Under-17 Championship after losing 3-2 on penalties to Senegal in the final round of qualifying.
The Black Starlets were leading 2-0 prior to kick off in Dakar on Sunday.
But the Senegalese scored a goal in either half to cancel out the 2-0 lead of the Black Starlets from the first leg forcing the game into penalties where they edged out Ghana.
Seven teams thus join host Rwanda for the 8-team African U-17 Championships beginning January 7-22, 2011.
