Ghana defender, Patric Pfeiffer, has signed for Swiss Super League club, Young Boys, on a season-long loan from Augsburg. The loan does not include an option to make the move permanent.
The German-born defender struggled with injuries last season, which limited his game time. Pfeiffer featured in just eleven Bundesliga games.

“It's a great opportunity to gather important minutes for a strong team like Young Boys.”
Young Boys said it is “confident that Pfeiffer, with his personality and defensive qualities, will provide valuable contributions to the team”.
Patric Pfeiffer will now have the opportunity to play in the Champions League as early as next Wednesday, August 21, when Young Boys face Galatasaray in the first leg of the playoff round.
He signed a four-year deal with Augsburg last summer from Darmstadt and still has three years remaining on his contract.
Last month, the former Germany youth international revealed in an interview that his nationality switch is now complete and he is looking forward to representing Ghana in next month’s AFCON qualifiers.
