The High Commissioner of Ghana to Malta, Barbara Akuokor Benisa, has formally presented her credentials to the President of Malta, George Vella.
President George Vella welcomed Barbara Akuokor Benisa, stating that her presence in the country is a demonstration of commitment by the Ghana government to enhance bilateral cooperation.
Meanwhile, the High Commission of Malta in Ghana has wished Ms Barbara Akuokor Benisa well in her duty tour.
In March this year, President Akufo-Addo appointed 33 Ambassadors, including Barbara Akuokor Benisa.
The other Ambassadors include; Yakubu Alhassan – Namibia; Damptey Bediako Asare – Kenya; Francis Danti Kotia, Director of Passports – Netherlands; Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Abdulai heading to Kuwait; Khadija Iddrisu – Zambia; Samuel Yaw Nsiah – Cuba; Samuel Jojo Effah-Broni – Morocco.
The President executed his mandate in accordance with Article 74(1) of the 1992 Constitution to ensure Ghana is duly represented Ghana outside its jurisdiction, strengthen and consolidate its diplomatic credentials.
