Ghana's Black Stars on Sunday left victory rather late; fetching the winning goal against an unyielding Syli Nationale of Guinea in the opening game of the MTN Africa Cup of Nations. Final score was 2:1 for the hosts.
But it was a moment of magic from Sulley Ali Muntari, who against all odds and with virtually no chance of scoring, rifled in what would be a much discussed goal from Group A.
Ghana had clumsily taken the lead through highly lethargic Asamoah Gyan who converted from the spot in the 55th minute.
But Guinea were on level after only 10 minutes of the goal, with Kalabane Oumar doing the damage for his side and sending an otherwise chanting stadium into silence.
