Kumasi Asante Kotoko have won the maiden edition of the GHALCA G6 competition after pipping Aduana Stars 1-0 in the final.
Winger Halipha Sedogo scored the only goal of the game when he scored from the spot after striker Elvis Amoh was brought down in the box.
Aduana had the first chance of the game as they were awarded a penalty in the second minute but experienced right back Godfred Saka saw his kick saved by Ofori Antwi.
The first department of the game was a drab afar with chances few and far between both teams.
It was intense at times with Kotoko striker Kwame Boateng having to be substituted after being victim of a bad tackle.
The second half of the game barely settled when Kotoko got the breakthrough goal. A move down the right flank of Kotoko's attack saw the lanky Amoh brought down by Aduana defender Yakubu Mohammed.
Aduana reacted to the goal by bringing in former Kotoko striker Yaya Mohammed and winger Richard Mpong.
The Dormaa side huffed and puffed for an equalizer to no avail with keeper Eric Ofori Antwi standing tall to pull some great saves.
Kotoko have now completed a trio of pre-season trophies and will be itching to show their worth in the upcoming season
Ofori Antwi was voted man of the match and as well the goalkeeper of the tournament award.
Aduana Stars' Yakubu Mohammed collected the best keeper of the tournament while winger Bennett Ofori was adjudged the discovery of the tournament.
The overall best award went to striker Kwame Boateng who was a thorn in the flesh of opposing defenders.
