The Ghana Baseball and Softball Association (GHABSA) congratulates the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following the Ghana 2008 opening match between the National team, Black Stars and Guinea.
The Black Stars won the match 2-1 following a 90th minute terrific goal by Sulley Muntari.
The President of GHABSA, Rev. Albert Seth Ocran, told myjoyonline that, the GHABSA and its entire members share in the success and joy of the Black Stars and the entire nation as the competition progresses.
He wishes the team and officials well, and hopes they will keep up the spirit and eventually win the competition and keep the trophy in Ghana.
Recently, in an Africa Olympic qualifier in South Africa, the National Baseball team, the Shining Stars won bronze behind continental giants Nigeria and hosts South Africa respectively.
