The eight-man search team tasked to find a long term coach for the Black Stars will meet later on Monday to prune down their nine man shortlist.
The GFA is due to pick at least four coaches from that list before making a final choice from it.
The football association has not confirmed the existence of a nine man shortlist thought to include ex-Ghana boss Milovan Rajevac but have not denied it either.
Some of the names on it though beg belief. Lothar Mattheus, the German legend who lifted the 1990 World Cup as captain and Juande Ramos, the former Real Madrid coach are all on the list even though it is highly unlikely they will be heading to Ghana.
Mattheus only last month signed up as coach of the Bulgaria national team while Ramos took up an appointment as coach of FC Dnipro Dnirpopetrovsk also only a month ago.
