The Director-General and management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) have strongly condemned the killing of Headmaster of the Salvation Army Basic School in the Eastern region.
Sympathising with George Somuah Bosompem’s widow, Prof Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa called on the police to expedite investigations into the callous killing of the 55-year-old.
The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has withdrawn its service at Asiakwa following the death of its member.
Mr Somuah Bosompem is believed to have been killed by some youth in the area for warning them to desist from defecating on the school compound.
In a statement Friday, GES “assured the teaching fraternity that we will do all we can to collaborate with the police to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to book.
