Director of Pre-Tertiary Education, Catherine Agyapomaa Appiah-Pinkrah, has disclosed that the Ghana Education Service (GES) has equipped all public school and teachers to enable them to achieve objectives of the new education curriculum from next month.
The new education curriculum was launched by the Ghana Education Service in April this year as part of ongoing reforms in the sector, particularly at the Pre-Tertiary level which seeks to make education more responsive to human resource and development needs of Ghana.
According to Catherine Agyapomaa Appiah-Pinkrah, the curriculum is globally certified by Cambridge University and all the teachers have been trained with a curriculum guide to provide supports teaching and learning.
She urged the stakeholders not to worry since the new curriculum is designed to improve standards in the sector.
She spoke at the 3rd Graduation Ceremony of the Crystal Height International School at Amasaman.
Catherine Agyapomaa Appiah-Pinkrah added that the new curriculum is going to make teaching and learning activities to ensure quality in the future.
She said the new curriculum is going to equip the students to compete globally.
Meanwhile, Director of Crystal Height International School, Emmanuel Dadzi also called on the government to deplore more volunteers to various private schools to help empower them to teach the new curriculum.
He also appealed to the government to reduce the huge taxes on private school.
