The Ghana Education Service has debunked media assertion that participants of the maiden promotional aptitude test had prior knowledge of the questions before the exams.
According to the Service, while a possibility of leakage cannot be ruled out, checks from all 35 examination centres across the country do not suggest that applicants had foreknowledge of the questions.
GES has received backlash from the public after reports emerged that all the 75 multiple choice questions and their answers for the Assistant Director II position were leaked hours before the examination.
Another paper that allegedly leaked was for the position of Deputy Director. This exam which was to be taken at midday Friday, February 21, had its questions and answers in the public domain 24 hours earlier.
But GES insists the conduct of the applicants before, during and after the examination does not suggest any act of examination malpractice.
In the statement signed by its Director-general, Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, the Service said it has, however, initiated investigations into the allegations and would duly sanction individuals or groups who are found culpable.
