Ghana Commercial Bank won the maiden May Day four-team tournament played at the Ajax Park Legon.
A slim 1-0 victory over Enterprise Insurance was enough for Ghana’s largest Commercial Bank to win the coveted tournament.
They had early on shredded team Multimedia by four goals to nil en route to the final.
Team Multimedia however secured a face saving third position after a marathon 8-7 penalty victory over Team Data Bank.
In the women’s penalty shootout GCB again won the trophy after a stupendous performance.
The tournament was in honour of two key personalities Kojo Addae Mensah and Kelly Gadzepko both of whom have made key switches as heads of two financial institutions.
Addae Mensah now heads Data Bank from Ghana Commercial Bank. Kelly Gadzekpo who was the head of Data Bank now moves to Enterprise Insurance in what appears to be spectacular business transitions by two financial ‘wizards’.
