Otto Addo says anyone who will be appointed as the new head coach of the Black Stars must be confident to execute his ideas regardless of the pressure he may receive.
Addo stepped down from his role as the gaffer of the national team following the team's elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup after losing to Uruguay in their final group on Friday, December 2.
The Black Stars went into the needing a draw to seal qualification to the last 16 stage after beating South Korea in their second group game.
But that result proved far from beyond the rich of the Black Stars as they suffered a 2-0 defeat with the 48-year-old announcing his resignation during his post-match press conference.
However, he had some advice for the next coach who would come in as his replacement.
"Be himself, fulfil his ideas no matter who tries to come between but he should listen to his coaching staff, take advice and if there is anything I can do to help, I am always there," he said.
"I will give advice and help my motherland. [He] should not listen to negativity too much, be fearless."
Following their elimination from the World Cup, the Black Stars will now turn their attention to the remainder of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
