FX had a “Bear” of a night, “Succession” saw success and Netflix beefed up its Emmy haul. What a show!
The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards may have been postponed by a pair of Hollywood strikes, but the delay did little to damper the spirit of the night.
“The Bear” and “Succession” were the biggest winners, picking up six Emmy awards each during the broadcast, including Best Comedy and Best Drama, respectively.
Netflix’s “Beef” also won big on Monday, picking up Best Limited Series, Best Actress in a Limited Series for Ali Wong and Best Actor in a Limited Series for Steven Yeun.
Other winners included Niecy Nash-Betts for her role in “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” Jennifer Coolidge for “The White Lotus” and Quinta Brunson, who got emotional accepting her award for “Abbott Elementary.”
Did we mention Elton John became an EGOT winner?
