Algeria bounced back from their friendly loss to Guinea last week to defeat Senegal 1-0 in another friendly game on Tuesday in Algiers.
FC Porto star Yacine Brahimi struck nine minutes from time to decide the game.
Both teams are preparing for next month's 2018 World Cup qualifiers. The Algerians face a double-header against Ethiopia, while the Senegalese will tackle Madagascar.
Elsewhere South Africa finished their Central American tour undefeated after playing out a 1-1 draw with Honduras in San Pedro Sula on Wednesday morning.
Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho opened scoring for Bafana Bafana after just eight minutes, but the lead lasted just five minutes before Erick Portillo equalised for the hosts.
The draw followed Bafana's 0-1 win over Costa Rica last Friday in San Jose.
South Africa are preparing for a tricky 2018 World Cup qualifying double-header with Angola.
