About Frank Dzikunu
Popularly known as Angel FD, Frank Dzikunu is the founder and creative force behind Angel FD Animation. Currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science at the esteemed University of Cape Coast, Frank embarked on his journey into the world of animation at the tender age of 19 during his second year at Bompeh Senior High Technical School. Since completing his secondary education in 2016, he dedicated three years of diligent service as a foreman at Wangkang Ceramic Company Ltd.
During his tenure, Frank showcased his exceptional talent by creating 'The Dance, Most Original', a mesmerizing short animation where characters gracefully move to the melodious tunes of Stonebwoy's hit track, 'Most Original'. In 2019, Frank earned admission to the University of Cape Coast to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science. Even amidst his academic pursuits, he astutely crafted 'Covid-19: The Fear of Death' and 'Covid-19: Avoid Stigmatization' during his first year (level 100), using animation to raise awareness about the pressing issues surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic.
Progressing into his second year (level 200), Frank continued to showcase his creative prowess with 'Sad Story of Kojo.' In 2022, he presented 'If You Do Good, You Do for Yourself', a meticulously designed short animation intended to inspire, encourage, motivate, and educate individuals about the importance of performing altruistic acts towards others.
Currently in his third year (level 300), Frank's latest masterpiece, 'Kindness Right Back At You', artfully conveys the profound significance of demonstrating kindness to strangers through the medium of a short film. Recognized both locally and internationally, Frank Dzikunu's artistic achievements have garnered him numerous accolades. Notably, he secured the esteemed position of first runner-up at the AMAA Startimes Short Film Festival in 2022.
