The former Managing Director of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) Alfred Obeng Boateng, has presented 100 KVA generator to the Bibiani government hospital in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality in the Western Region.
He said the gesture forms part of his goals to help save lives from dying at the hospital as well as helping to improve upon the healthcare services in the Bibiani government hospital.
He said it is also to follow the footsteps of other prominent indigenes who have not relented in their contribution towards the development of the community, particularly in the areas of health and education.
A ceremony to present the generator attracted many dignitaries within and outside Bibiani which include clergy, traditional leaders, and representatives from the Muslims community, the hospital staff, Friends of Approachers and the general public.
The administrator of the Bibiani government hospital Paul Amponsah Agyakwah who received the equipment on behalf of the hospital management, thanked Mr. Obeng for his quick response to the decade-long power challenge of the hospital.
He said, the hospital which currently serves parts of Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Central regions, so the generator has come at the right time.
He, therefore, pledged to handle the equipment with care and also ensure regular maintenance to serve the purpose for which it was donated.
