The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regional Co-operation and NEPAD, Mr Akwasi Osei-Adjei, has begun an official trip to Bonn in Germany, where he is expected to sign a Memorandum of Partnership between Ghana and the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The agreement aims at strengthening cooperation between the two jurisdictions in areas such as infrastructure and energy production, education and science, and health and pharmaceuticals.
A statement from the Ministry said the Minister would deliver an address at the 2007 Bonn Conference on International Development Policy, scheduled for November 5 and 6, which will debate the challenges of Africa in meeting the Millennium Development Goals.
Mr Osei-Adjei is expected to outline improvements being made to governance frameworks by respective African countries and to urge developed partners to fulfil their commitments and step up their support towards the continent's development process.
The Minister is accompanied on the trip by Mr Asare-Asiedu,
Acting Director of Bilateral Trade and Investment Bureau and Mr Harold Agyeman, Deputy Director at the Office of the Foreign Minister.
