The Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine (FOCOS), a non-profit organisation that provides access to comprehensive, affordable orthopaedic care, is hosting American actress, choreographer and fitness trainer Adrienne-Joi Johnson, popularly known as AJ Johnson, here in Ghana.
A.J. Johnson was hosted at the FOCOS Orthopedic Hospital in Pantang as part of a two-day visit.
The two-day visit, which started on 18th November 2019, will end on Tuesday 19th November 2019.
The veteran actress, who was recently appointed as a FOCOS Ambassador, will interact with senior members and heads of departments of FOCOS, including the CEO and Founder, Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei.
Noted for her role in the hit 1992 movie, ‘Sister Act’, AJ expressed how exciting it is for her to be with FOCOS especially seeing all of these lovely kids.
Expressing her excitement to work with FOCOS as an Ambassador, AJ said, “I’m very honoured and excited to join the FOCOS family. The work of FOCOS is founded on changing lives, and for me to bring THE AJ ZONE style of healthy living mind, body and soul to this mission here in Ghana and globally, is a divine opportunity for me to walk in purpose. The warm welcome from staff and the patients have been priceless.”
Commenting on AJ’s willingness to work for FOCOS as an Ambassador, Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei applauded her hands-on effort in helping to further the mission of FOCOS.
The FOCOS CEO and Founder also used the occasion to remind all gathered that there are over 4,000 patients awaiting surgery, hence, this is a good time for individuals and organisations to donate to help sponsor the surgeries of needy patients, so they can stand tall.
AJ Johnson, who first visited Ghana in December 2018 for the famous “Year of Return” programme, organised by the Ghana Tourism Authority, was excited to come to Ghana again to render selfless service to FOCOS as an Ambassador.
We at FOCOS are delighted to have AJ here in Ghana and look forward to the road ahead. Stay tuned for more on AJ visit to FOCOS.
