Ghana’s road to Russia was revealed in a draw in Cairo. Just like the 2006 and 2010 qualifiers, the Black Stars will need to top their group to join the biggest footballing party in Russia.
The Cranes of Uganda are in the same group with the Black Stars just like the 2006 edition while Ghana face Egypt again after facing them in the final play-off to the 2014 World Cup.
The last time Ghana met Congo was in a friendly to open the Congolese stadium ahead of the All African Games with the Black Stars winning 3-2.
Just like our 2010 qualification to South Africa where we hosted Sudan at home, Ghana will kick off their campaign with a home tie against Uganda.
Ghana also began their 2015 Cup of Nations qualifying series against Uganda. Thus, Ghana starts at home and ends at home.
How will Ghana’s road look like?
