Mr Abraham Odoom, Deputy Minister of Health, on Sunday, appealed to Christians to contribute their quota towards the socio-economic development of the Twifo-Heman-Lower-Denkyira district to improve the standard of living of the people in the area.
Mr Odoom, who was delivering a sermon at a convention organized by five churches in the Twifo Atii Morkwa constituency, tasked the people to confront hatred with love and show sensitivity to the needs of the less privileged in society.
The Agona Pentecost church, Morkwa Methodist, Praso Christian Power International church, Praso Pentecost and the Praso Assembly’s of God churches jointly organized the convention.
Mr Odoom, who was accompanied by Mr Samuel Agyeibie-Kessie, District Chief Executive for Twifo-Heman-Lower-Denkyira, said the resurrection of Jesus Christ enjoins Christians to lead decent lives and “nib in the bud anti social activities that militate against the socio-economic development of the district”.
Reverend Ababio Danquah, district pastor of the Assembly’s of God led the congregation in prayer for the nation.
