QNET, a global direct selling and e-commerce company on Friday, December 1 brought together a group of seasoned journalists from some media houses across the country for an educational webinar.
The virtual event was organised to familiarise journalists with the QNET brand and to share the first-hand experiences some journalists had when they attended the 2022 and 2023 V-Convention in Malaysia.
The VCON is the largest gathering of QNET independent representatives (distributors) and partners, pooling 15,000 and more people at the same time.
Insight and knowledge sharing
The webinar which had QNET officials present, saw 5 seasoned journalists from top-tier media organisations share their experiences and key take-aways from VCON 2022 and 2023 and their visit to the QNET office and QI University in Malaysia.
They interacted with QNET CEO, top management, and also witnessed and experienced the VCON in its thrilling and euphoric display. They visited QNET product booth and had a feel of a wide array of authentic QNET products.
Topics discussed during the webinar included QNET's products and the science behind them, VCON; the aura, atmosphere and belief in the brand, the misconceptions about the brand and the fight against scam and getting to know QNET from an investigative angle.
One journalist revealed that he had heard a lot of negative buzz surrounding the QNET brand and as an investigative journalist, he decided to verify that information.
“I was surprised to find out that QNET had been in existence for 25 years and had presence in 25 countries. Visiting Malaysia and seeing their huge Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, and experiencing firsthand the ethical standards the company has, proved to me that it was a very credible organisation that has an unfair negative tag due to the actions of a few miscreants.
"QNET is a genuine and ethical company that unfortunately fraudsters are taking advantage of and the lack of understanding of the direct selling business in this part of our world fuels the unfortunate narrative. But for me, my perception has changed and I am glad to be sharing this revelation with my colleagues in the media industry.”
QNET Products and the science behind them
Another senior journalist could not hide his amazement after experiencing the wellness and lifestyle products that QNET offers and the science behind them.
“I was skeptical about the products that QNET offered and their perceived way of doing business. The media junket to VCON and the QNET headquarters left me amazed. The level of research that goes into every product left me wishing that this kind of technology could be adopted in some sectors of our country. My favourite product is the Home Pure Nova water purifier that turns tap water into clean safe drinking water using nine stages of purification.”
Mr Biram Fall, Regional General Manager for QNET sub-Saharan Africa revealed that “At QNET, we uphold the ethical and legal standards of every country we operate in and we continue to educate the public on how the e-commerce direct selling business works. We are committed to upholding our values and ethics while promoting wellness and making positive social impacts in the country and beyond.
"We look forward to further collaborations and initiatives that will strengthen our partnerships and empower the youth. Next year, we are embarking on many initiatives that will enable us improve our reputation and weed out the few bad nuts tarnishing the image of QNET in Ghana.”
Testimonials
Other participating journalists from locations outside Accra, especially those from the Volta region who were privy to the misconceptions about QNET before the webinar, revealed that, the virtual event was insightful and helped address the myths and misconceptions surrounding the brand.
