Huawei, a leading telecommunications equipment manufacturer , has introduced the first 4G TD-LTE network in Ghana.
The 4G LTE [long-term evolution], according Huawei, enables for faster video streaming and Internet downloads without hitches.
The new technology is particularly suitable for video conferencing.
4G LTE is the latest standard for wireless communication of high-speed data for mobile phones and data terminals.
Huawei mounted demonstrations on how their 4G LTE functions and engaged the delegates in a telepresence interaction from the International Conference Centre and the Office of the President Annex during the ITU Africa Regional Preparatory Meeting (RPM-AFR) for the WTDC-14 held in Accra, Ghana between October 2 and 4, 2013. .
Huawei’s 4G TD-LTE network will make Ghana communication more effective, efficient and transparent, says officials of the telecommunication equipments giant.
The company also launched two new smart devices at the conference.
The advanced smart devices, the Huawei Ascend Mate and the Huawei Mediapad 10 FHD have received good reviews from industry experts.
The Mate has an ultra large 6.1 inch screen, giving it the visual experience of a tablet and the convenience of a mobile phone merged into one portable powerhouse.
It features a massive 4050 mAh super large battery and Huawei’s patented QPC and ADRX smart power-technology, allowing for two days of usage on a single charge.
The Huawei Media Pad 10 FHD, the other smart device, is a 10.1 inch full HD screen tablet, with 16:10 aspect ratio.
It also has a high speed Quad Core CPU and the strongest 16-core GPU and supports LTE network. It’s light and thin and measures just 8.8mm and 580g light weight. It also has a detachable keyboard making it work as a PC with USB host.
