The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has recently revealed that Ghana’s insurance industry witnessed an increase in its total capital base to GH¢2.91 billion at the end of December 2020, from an earlier GH¢2.53 billion recorded in December 2019.
According to the Central Bank's Financial Stability Review for 2020, the increase amounts to a growth of 15 percent over the previous year.
