Samuel Affum powered Hearts of Oak to their 20th league title after a tortuous journey especially in the second half of the season.
Affum’s two goals were what the Phobians needed and they got them at the expense of relegation-bound Sporting Mirren who got nothing out of the game.
The second round of the season saw a 14 point buffer for Hearts whittled down to a single point.
Editor of Myjoyonline last week wrote that the Phobians were left with only prayers and hope that their arch rivals Kotoko will slip. And Kotoko did by losing to Ashgold last week.
On the last day, Kotoko drew two all with city rivals King Faisal.
Hearts won the Glo Premier League with 52 points with Kotoko following closely with 49 points.
