I am still hoping that the above culled from Ghanaian Times is not true. I am still praying that the news that Jake Obetsebi Lamptey has been granted permission by the President to buy the official bungalow he has been living in since he became a minister in the NPP administration is false.
I am not willing to believe that this is true. Incredible things have happened under the NPP, but please can Jake actually dare to take the bar this much lower? This must be a false alarm or at worst some kind of sick joke that was published in the Ghanaian Times last week.
For crying out loud, we are talking about a bungalow that belongs to the people of Ghana!
A residence built by the tax payer and maintained by the tax payer.
A residence that in September 2000 was renovated by the NDC government and yet as soon as the NPP took over in January 2001, was again put up for renovation.
A bungalow whose renovation for “His Highness Jake Obetsebi Lamptey” cost the tax payer even more because his “Imperial Majesty’s taste” demanded that extra work be done at tax payers’ expense before the place could be fit for his habitation.
Incidentally, it was the same Jake who took media people to the Castle soon after President Rawlings left the place and asked them to judge whether the place the former President had lived for nearly two decades was a place fit for the habitation of a human being.
All the expenses incurred for Jake’s comfort were borne by the tax payer - some of these tax payers are relatives of the innocent children who were killed by Jake father’s bombs in the early 60s.
I say, I do not believe that Jake could actually be reaching this “height of insanity”- this intoxicated peak that could only be actuated by greed and power drunkenness.
I do not think that Jake now wants to visit this “Greedy Terrorism” on a piece of land and property that does not belong to “his government” but rather to the people of Ghana.
The relatives of those many children who were blown into pieces are still yet to forget the bloody scars left in their memory by Jake’s father’s unsurpassed monstrosity and Osama Bin Laden-like wickedness.
Now, after murdering those innocent children, is the son of the terrorist having the audacity to stretch a type of that “Greedy terrorism” onto the tax payers’ property too?
No, this cannot be!
What kind of greed is this?
What kind of impudence is this?
If previous occupants of that bungalow like ET Mensah had this sick and degenerate mindset, will Jake even have found that bungalow in the year 2001 to renovate at huge tax payers’ expense, let alone occupy for seven years and continue to occupy almost a year after leaving government?
Is this all part of the Property Grabbing Democracy of the NPP?
Is this the Moving Forward he and Akufo-Addo have been preaching on the rooftops?
The Moving forward of greed?
The moving forward of land grabbing?
The moving forward of properties regardless of how they are acquired?
The man, we are being told is "Ready, Willing and Able" to purchase the government bungalow.
By the way, since when did it become a national policy that ex-ministers can buy state bungalows?
What is going on in Ghana?
What kind of madness is this?
Are these not the people who said they had already made their money before coming into government? So why is he desperately trying to acquire the people’s bungalow as well?
There were already a thousand and one reasons why NPP must go. But this Jake’s Insanity tops it all.
Go they Shall!!!!!!
