Retired referee Joseph Wellington has admitted that, poor officiating in the premier league is a worry.
There have been major concerns over poor officiating after match day 2 of this year’s Glo premier league. Some club officials are complaining bitterly about officiating and have suggested there is no fair competition in the league as the performances of referees give some clubs unfair advantage.
Retired referee Joseph Wellington who is now a referee instructor believes their major problem now is the inability of some referees to take credible decisions on the field of play.
“When you train people and the expectations are not met it becomes very worrying. There are some technicalities we need to address and we hoping to make things go well in the subsequent matches”. Wellington told Joy Sports
