The prime suspect in the murder of a 33-year-old driver at Feyiase New Site, in the Bosomtwe District, has led Police investigators to the scene where he allegedly murdered his victim.
Rashid Ibrahim, 32, gave a detailed account of how he first picked his alleged victim at Kumasi High School Junction, a popular spot at Atonsu, led him to a spot in that area, which is under development, where he slashed him several times with a machete.
The decapitated body of the deceased, Israel Agyei Manu, a headteacher of Rogel Montessori School at Atonsu, was discovered on Sunday by some residents.
It took a search party of Police and residents to locate the head of the deceased in nearby bushes.
According to Police, the suspect, who was arrested on Sunday, confessed to committing the crime because someone assured him of rituals that would make him rich overnight, if he presented a human head.
Whilst re-enacting how he allegedly committed the crime, Rashid Ibrahim told Police officers that he slashed the deceased multiple times from behind with a machete until he fell on the ground.
Rashid Ibrahim then left the body and went to a construction tank nearby, to wash off blood that had splashed on his body.
The suspect added that upon hearing of people approaching the scene, he threw away the decapitated head into a nearby bush and fled.
