It was a five-goal thriller at the Carl Reindorf Park where Liberty Professionals beat new Edubiase United 3-2. Baba Zakari opened the scores as early at the 3rd minute before Michael Appiah made it 2-0, twenty-one minutes later. Samed Ibrahim pulled one back for the visitors in the 37h minute but Zakari returned to score his personal second of the match in the 57th minute. With 8 minutes from full time, Fuseini Nuhu struck in an attempted comeback but Liberty Professionals held on for all three points.
 
Striker Stephen Baffour Asare’s 44th minute penalty strike ensured Berekum Chelsea secure a 1-0 win over Hasaacas at the Golden City Park.

On Saturday, goals from Petrus Shitembi and Emmanuel Osei saw AshantiGold defeat Inter Allies 2-0 at the Len Clay Stadium and stretch their lead at the top of the 16-team standings to 6 points.
