Berekum Chelsea players are demotivated.
The club is losing points for failing to pay WAFA their share for the transfer of Solomon Asante to TP Mazembe three seasons ago. And as a result, Chelsea have already been docked 18 points for matches they won due to a subsequent Ghana FA ruling.
Chelsea, from now, lose (due to the ruling) any match they win until they pay WAFA and this, according to striker Latif Salifu, is having a huge impact and demotivating the players.
“During our Premier League game against Aduana Stars I picked up an injury and one of my colleagues said to me: 'After all even if we win the game our points will be deducted so what is the essence of forcing ourselves to the extent of picking up injuries?'” revealed Latif Salifu in an exclusive interview with Joy Sports.
“Initially I thought this issue was not going to have a negative impact on us but after what my player told me in that game, I realized the things were getting out of hand.
“The way we played the second half didn’t show we were serious about winning the game.”
Chelsea will next play Hasaacas in the league.
