Ghana Premier League champions, FC Samartex, won the most awards at the 2024 edition of the Ghana Football Awards, picking up a total of five honors on the night.
The Samreboi-based club won the league with two games to spare in what was only their second season in the top flight.
At the Ghana Football Awards on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in the Grand Arena, the club’s impressive achievement was duly recognized in the following categories:
- The club was awarded the Men’s Club of the Year award.
- The club’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Richard Duah Nsenkyire, was named the CEO of the Year.
- The club’s head coach, Nurudeen Amadu, picked up the Men’s Coach of the Year award.
- Midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh was named the Home-based Men’s Player of the Year.
- The club’s goalkeeper, Kofi Baah, received the Goalkeeper of the Year award.
The club is expected to start preparations soon ahead of its campaign in next season’s CAF Champions League, where they will be Ghana’s sole representatives.
