Major League Soccer side, FC Dallas striker Francis Atuahene visited his hometown in Techiman to motivate and donate to his community.
Atuahene who was scouted by Right to Dream Academy was returning to his place of birth for the first time in three years.
With a donation he organized with the FC Dallas Foundation, Atuahene presented 22 jersey tops and bottoms, 25 T-shirts, 20 soccer balls, and two ball pumps back.
''With the donation, I organized with FC Dallas Foundation I was able to donate many soccer balls, bibs. Top and down jerseys etc,'' Atuahene told Joy Sports.
''And also use that to encourage and motivate youthful players in the community. I primarily emphasized the importance of hard work, education, dreams and most importantly believe.''
Before Christmas, Atuahene and his FC Dallas teammate Emmanuel Twumasi made a donation to the Osu Children's Home in Accra.
The items valued at about GHC 5,000 included bags of rice, cooking oil, boxes of soft drinks, packs of toilet rolls and FC Dallas branded T-shirts.
Atuahene spent last season on loan at USL side OKC Energy.
