A magistrate’s court at Mankranso has remanded Osei Kuffour, a 36-year-old farmer of Nyamebekyere near Mankranso in the Ahafo-Ano South District for causing harm.
Kuffour pleaded not guilty and will re-appear on September 4.
Police Inspector Abraham Agyei Mensah, told the court presided over by Mr Frank Owusu-Afriyie that on August 7 this year, Abena Nkansah, the complainant returned from a funeral and was asleep around 19:30 hours.
He said Kuffour suddenly entered the complainant’s room and without any provocation insulted and later slapped her on the face and she fell unconscious.
The prosecution said the complainant was rushed to the Mankranso District Hospital where she was revived and admitted for two days.
A report was made to the police and Kuffour was arrested.
