The Mankranso magistrate court has granted a 42-year-old farmer 10 million cedis bail for threatening to kill his senior brother at Mpasaso in the Ahafo-Ano South district.
Kwasi Badu pleaded not guilty and would re-appear on April 10.
Police Inspector Abraham Agyei-Mensah, prosecuting told the court, presided over by Mr Frank Owusu-Afriyie that Badu was once residing with Kwasi Tonto, the senior brother, and was sacked because of a quarrel that ensued between the two.
He said the accused later became annoyed and threatened to kill the senior brother and his wife.
Inspector Agyei-Mensah said on February 19, this year, Badu armed with a single-barrel gun went to the senior brother’s house with the intention to end his life but the complainant sneaked out and reported the case to the police.
The police after arresting the accused found the gun and two cartridges with him and after investigation charged him with the offence.
